In February 2006 we moved house, from number 6 in our street to number 1. Here are some photos of the new place.

The stairs are carpetted, and Sophie likes to play on the them, hanging upside down underneath and going mental.

There she is - the demon cat!

Now full of junk, boxes, and a couple of computers on desks by the window. Quite a nice view over the bay.

Naturally one of the first things that had to happen was installation of broadband. Here I am, plugged in. And look! There's ickle Fudge!

Notice books - lots of high-up shelving, which is nice.

I think Will took these...

Will couldn't resist opening the TV and having a careful probe. Ultimately, a sensible fear of large capacitors prevented anything from actually happening, however.

Aaah, the mess...

Old friends may recognise these as Walnut Cottage era shelves...

Much shoe space - good, becaue there are many shoes.

The kitchen is quite a bit smaller than at number 6, and in particular there's no room for our tumble drier, which is now in the space under the stairs. Also note dinky washing machine. There is a small freezer however, which is new for us...

At first I thought this was Will making popcorn but actually, that isn't popcorn, is it? What's he making? I don't remember. Anyway, he did make popcorn later - honest.

Look! Popcorn! The sofa is a sofa bed, which we put to good use that evening, watching Hackers and Edward Scissorhands on the wall. With popcorn!

Still not all the stuff, either...

Looking at this, and imagining what it looks like now, I'm quite impressed actually. We're not doing badly.

A good spot to catch sunbeams. Sophie does a very good pebble impression, by the way.

The beanbag is new to Sophie. This may have annoyed Fudge, as she used to spend hours on it in the attic at number 6.
