Not an Ermintrude Inch in sight
Today I managed to use the word “defenestrated” in casual conversation over coffee. Gladly, I was with people who appreciated just what an unusual opportunity this is, and there was much rejoicing.

You can use HTML, but you don't have to. Formatting tips (for code, quotes, etc.) here.

I noticed there was a couple on the lunchtime news today who managed to defenestrate a burglar from the 1st (or American 2nd) floor window (and weren’t proscecuted) yet were complaining that they didn’t have enough rights as victims of crime in British law. Left me wondering whether they wanted to pour boiling oil on the guy too.
Are prizes awared for using the ‘d’ word?
Heh… That’s exactly what prompted to say it: Radio 1 “newsbeat”, as I sat in The Green Room drinking coffee. Of course, they didn’t use the d word, ‘cos they’re just a bunch of slack-jawed gawkers. ;-)
